If you receive the error 0x800f0954 when trying to install RSAT tools in Powershell you can try to enable the settings below.
- Open gpedit.msc with admin privileges. In local group policy editor, browse to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System.
- Select ‘Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair’ and enable the policy
- Also check the box ‘Download repair content and optional features directly from Windows Updates instead of Windows Server Updates Services (WSUS)’.
You may need to run gpupdate to refresh policies
You should now be able to install RSAT tools.
